In a Nostalgic Way

This song was inspired by the play I wrote (Notes), which was based on my middle-school memories. The photos included here are of my friends and me from when we were in 8th grade (1992).

I wanted to write a song to honor women and acknowledge the struggles they’ve faced through history. The three verses are each about a specific female trailblazer, while the chorus shows how each story is woven together like a tapestry.
